Family, friends and community members will gather on Sunday, Aug. 31, at Pine Hills Country Club in Taylor for the fourth annual Bogeys for Burkey Golf Tournament, a special event honoring the life and legacy of Frank L. Burke IV. Established through the Frank L. Burke IV Memorial Fund, administered by the Scranton Area Community Foundation, the annual tournament raises funds to support causes close to Frank’s heart. This year, proceeds will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the students of South Scranton Intermediate School. The tournament will feature a 1:30 p.m. shotgun start, followed by dinner at 6:30, live music, raffles and more. Golfers and nongolfers are invited to celebrate Frank’s memory while positively impacting the community.
