Mrs. James Patrick Corbett

St. Paul’s Church, Scranton, was the setting Saturday, June 21, for the wedding of Calah Elizabeth Dougherty and James Patrick Corbett, both of Scranton. The bride is the daughter of Colleen Dougherty, Scranton, and the late John Dougherty. The bridegroom is the son of Ellen and Joseph Corbett, Moosic.

Monsignor Neil J. Van Loon officiated at the ceremony.

Rachel Marichak, Scranton, was main of honor. Therese Walker, Dunmore, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Margaret Piccotti, Scranton, and Ellen Dougherty, New York City, aunts of the bride; Courtney Tuft, Dickson City, Ashlynn Gallagher, Kingston, and Mia LaTorre, Scranton, cousins of the bride; and Emily Holden, Philadelphia, and Lindsey O’Hora, Jermyn. Clara Piccotti, Scranton, and Julia Walker, Dunmore, cousins of the bride, were junior bridesmaids. Olivia, Cecelia, goddaughter of the bride, and Caroline Walker, cousins of the bride; and Avery Pinto and Amelia Bravo, cousins of the bridegroom, all of Dunmore, were flower girls.

Matthew D’Angelo, Roaring Brook Twp., was best man. Groomsmen were Shane Donovan, Scranton, brother of the bride; Tommy Occhipinti, New York City, cousin of the bridegroom; Andrew Spangenberg, Tim Fisch, Austin Trubia, Jason Zaleski and William McLane, all of Scranton, Teddy Foley, New York City, Michael Morgan, Clarks Summit, and Clifford Powell, Sebastian, Florida. Luca Donovan, Scranton, nephew of the bride, was ringbearer.

A reception was held at Glenmaura National Golf Club, Moosic.

The bride is a graduate of Scranton High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in English, a post-bachelor’s teaching certification, and a minor in education from Marywood University. She will receive her master’s degree in secondary/K-12 education from Marywood University in August. She is an eighth grade English teacher at Northeast Intermediate School.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Scranton High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from East Stroudsburg University. He is employed as a car salesman at his family’s dealership, Minooka Subaru.

The couple took a wedding trip to Italy.
