Neighborhood Watch meeting: Wednesday, 7 p.m., Dickson City Community Center, 824 Main St. Guest speaker will be Bob Hall Jr., vice president of the borough planning commission, who will speak about the commission’s role in the short- and long-term growth and development of Dickson City, including current an upcoming projects. A question-and-answer session will follow. Refreshments will be served.
Lackawanna County
Game show: Lackawanna Historical Society local history game show, “You Live Here; You Should Know This,” May 3, 6 p.m., Art Haus, 301 Lackawanna Ave., Scranton. Doors open, 5:30 p.m. The public is invited to play along with contestants to answer fast-paced “Jeopardy!”-style questions about Lackawanna County history and cheer on the teams as they compete to be the 2025 “Local History Legends of Lore.” Questions and game boards were researched and designed by the historical society and students at Riverside and Valley View high schools. Students will act as game show hosts. Supported in part through funding from the Lackawanna County Arts and Culture Department. Trolley excursion: “Trolley through Time” historical trolley excursion on the Laurel Line, April 26, 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The excursion will explain the interurban railway. Tickets, $15, with a portion of proceeds benefiting 505 Restoration Project. More information, call 570-963-6590.
Scranton
Art exhibit: “A New Path to the Waterfall,” a joint exhibition of the work of Samuelle Green and John Bromberg, through June 29 at the Everhart Museum. Explores the convergence of nature and technology, featuring Bromberg’s large-scale “Bridge to Nowhere” sculpture meeting Green’s immersive cavernous paper installation. The exhibit also serves as the last exhibition of Bromberg’s eclectic art career. Supported by Lackawanna County Arts & Culture and the Scranton Area Community Foundation.
