Benefit auction: Johnson College’s Carpentry & Cabinetmaking Technology program auction to benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center of NEPA, Wednesday, inside the carpentry and cabinetmaking technology lab in Woolworth Hall on the Scranton campus. Doors open 5 p.m., auction starts at 6. More than 70 items will be available to bid on, including cutting boards, chess boards, tables, benches and custom woodworking. All items were created by students in the carpentry and cabinetmaking technology program. Many of the items were made from repurposed material. Register at https://johnson.edu/carpentry-auction/.

Planting program: Attracting Feathered Friends to Our Garden, Thursday, 1 p.m., the Gathering Place, 304 S. State St., Clarks Summit. Learn what plants attract birds to gardens, and how to keep them coming back. Program cost is $5. Preregister at http://www.GatheringPlaceCS.org.

Walkable labyrinth: The walkable labyrinth at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 550 Madison Ave., will be available on Saturday from 12:30-2:30 p.m. in the Sawtelle Auditorium to celebrate World Labyrinth Day. Each year on the first Saturday in May, thousands of people around the world participate in World Labyrinth Day. Join to “Walk as One at 1” local time to create a rolling wave of peaceful energy passing from one time zone to the next. Jay Steveskey will enhance the experience with classical guitar music from 1-2:30. Stay as long as you like to walk the labyrinth, listen to the music and sit in quiet reflection.
