SCRANTON
Wingstop – a national chain restaurant specializing in chicken wings and tenders – plans to open its first location in Lackawanna County this month.
The new eatery at 1600 Nay Aug Ave., Suite 16, will open Monday, store officials said. Wingstop – located between Rent-A-Center and King Star Chinese restaurant inside the plaza – will be open daily from 11 a.m. to midnight.

Wingstop currently operates more than 2,000 restaurants worldwide – including nearly 50 throughout Pennsylvania with the closest location in Mount Pocono.
The restaurant offers more than a dozen flavors ranging from traditional sauces like original hot and mild to Hawaiian, mango habanero and Mexican street spice.
