Mayor Paige Gebhardt Cognetti and members of the Scranton Municipal Recreation Authority cut the ribbon Monday at the new Butterfly Playground at Nay Aug Park in Scranton. The project repurposed a former parking area to create an accessible play space for children and adults with disabilities. A Local Share Account grant, the SMRA and community donations supported the project. The playground is behind the St. Cats and Dogs building, and parking is available near St. Cats and Dogs.
