A Monroe County woman is accused of a shooting man in the face during a road rage incident Tuesday morning on Interstate 380, according to authorities.

Monroe County District Attorney Mike Mancuso said in a news release that Tatiana Divina Peterson, of Coolbaugh Township, chased a truck, pulled up alongside it and fired a handgun into it, hitting the driver in the forehead.

Peterson, 39, is charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, making terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person and reckless driving.

The shooting happened about 11:30 a.m. in the area of mile marker 8 of northbound I-380 in Coolbaugh Township, according to authorities. State police said the driver was able to pull over and call 911 while Peterson fled the scene.

Using eyewitness accounts, dash camera footage and surveillance footage, investigators identified Peterson as as suspect, according to the DA. In an interview with police, Peterson admitted to firing into the truck and hitting the driver, Mancuso said. The firearm was found in her bedroom dresser, authorities said.

The victim was driving alone when he was shot. Investigators said his truck was shot multiple times.

Peterson is expected to be arraigned on the charges Wednesday morning.
