Sportsmen meet: Factoryville Sportsmen’s Club meeting, June 25, 7:30 p.m., clubhouse, with Rick Valent presiding. The club is seeking volunteers to participate in the Route 6 highway cleanup project. Theatrical extravaganza: The Arc of NEPA presents “A Willy Wonka Flavored Theatrical Extravaganza,” June 19 at 7 p.m. at Lackawanna College. The Arc of NEPA Auxiliary raises awareness through educating the community on the abilities of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Admission is free.

Flower Power Happy hour: The Everhart Museum welcomes the community for the second annual Everhart in Bloom Weekend with Flower Power Happy Hour on June 20 and Everhart in Bloom Community Day on June 21, in celebration of Scranton’s Electric City Flower Show in Nay Aug Park on June 21, a yearly kick-off of summer. It starts with Flower Power Happy Hour on Friday, a 21+ ticketed event of food and drinks by the V-Spot and live music by the Dishonest Fiddlers. From 5-8 p.m., guests are invited to enjoy the start of summer on the front lawn of the Everhart on the grounds of Nay Aug Park as the final preparations for the Electric City Flower Show take place. The cost is $10 for Everhart members and $15 for nonmembers for advance registration, and $20 at the door, and includes one complimentary drink (beer, wine or featured drink). On June 21, during the Electric City Flower Show, the Everhart hosts the family-friendly Everhart in Bloom Community Day. Museum admission is free during the regular visiting hours of 11 a.m.-5 p.m., and free activities, demonstrations, live music and more take place from noon-4 p.m. There will be face painting, rocks and minerals demonstrations with R. Stephen Carter, arts and crafts with artist Lindsay Barrett George, whose exhibition “Turtles, and Bunnies, and Mice, Oh My!” is now on view, live music by Doug Smith and the Dixieland All-Stars, tours of the Brooks Mine, live bee colony demonstrations and more.
