Geisinger honors first responders at RailRiders game

Geisinger honored first responders from departments across Northeast and Central Pennsylvania on Friday night at the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders game at PNC Field in Moosic. The event included presentation of the annual Outstanding EMS Providers of the Year awards in the categories of Lifetime Achievement, Community Service and Heroism.

Bryce Norman, center, a firefighter and emergency medical technician for Harford Volunteer Fire Company, and Carbondale police Officers Robert Williams, left, and Jesse Pruitt, right, receive the Alice and Bob Walsh Award for Heroism during Geisinger's Emergency Medical Service Appreciation reception at PNC Field in Moosic on Friday, June 13, 2025. Norman was nominated for helping rescue Assistant Fire Chief Chip Chidester from a brush fire. The two police officers were nominated for their efforts in assisting a choking child.
