Announcement is made of the engagement and upcoming wedding of Alivia Alyse Plevyak to Anthony Michael Matsell, both of South Abington Twp.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Stephen and Gayle Plevyak, South Abington Twp. She is a graduate of Abington Heights High School. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Misericordia University, Dallas. She earned a master’s degree in school psychology with a focus in applied behavior analysis and an educational specialist degree in school psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. On both occasions, she was recognized for her exceptional academic performance and was awarded the Provost’s Award in school psychology. Alivia is a school psychologist for the Valley View School District, Archbald.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Anthony and Christine Matsell, South Abington Twp. He is also a graduate of Abington Heights High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Marywood University, Scranton. He was a member of Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society. He is currently pursuing licensure as an architect. Anthony is a designer for the architectural firm Fancy Parsley Architecture and Design, Scranton.
The couple met while students at Abington Heights Middle School, Clarks Summit.
