NEPA Philharmonic speaker at Rotary meeting

At a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of the Abingtons, member Char Short introduced her daughter, Samantha Maloney, a board member of the NEPA Philharmonic, and guest speaker, Chason Goldschmidt, director of the Philharmonic. As director he will take over the daily management of the professional orchestra. Goldschmidt was director of production, music and arts, and health for superstar soprano Renee Fleming. With degrees from Juilliard and Columbia, he is a composer and arranger who plays the viola and piano. From left: Maloney, Short and Goldschmidt.
