At a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of the Abingtons, member Char Short introduced her daughter, Samantha Maloney, a board member of the NEPA Philharmonic, and guest speaker, Chason Goldschmidt, director of the Philharmonic. As director he will take over the daily management of the professional orchestra. Goldschmidt was director of production, music and arts, and health for superstar soprano Renee Fleming.
