Jessup

Novena event: Queen of Angels Parish-Jessup will conduct a novena in honor of St. Ann, July 17-26. Weekday Masses are at 5:30 p.m. Weekend Masses are Saturday, 4 p.m., and Sunday, 8 and 10:30 a.m., 320 First Ave. Novena prayers and a blessing with the relic will be offered at all Masses. All are welcome.

Lackawanna County

Disability town hall: Lackawanna County Disability Action Committee will sponsor an event to solicit input regarding the needs of people with disabilities. Building Bridges: A Disability Town Hall will be held July 31 from 1-4 p.m. at the Lackawanna County Trolley Museum, 300 Cliff St., Scranton. The committee’s mission is to provide guidance on improving accessibility for people with disabilities in county facilities and programs. It will be an open forum for people with disabilities and the public to identify barriers that inhibit independence. The commissioners and other county representatives will be present to discuss recent accessibility initiatives. In addition, state Sen. Marty Flynn, area state representatives and Scranton Mayor Paige Gebhardt Cognetti’s staff will participate. The featured speaker will be Dale Verchick of the Disability Rights Network of Pennsylvania, who will discuss the progress achieved since the Americans with Disabilities Act was passed and identify emerging issues that require compliance. North Pocono

Memorial blood drive: Red Cross memorial blood drive, Aug. 7, sponsored by the North Pocono Blood Council of American Red Cross and St. Catherine’s Church of Moscow; 1-6 p.m. at St. Catherine’s Church, 220 Church St., Moscow. The 22nd annual Memorial Blood Drive is being hosted to honor the memory of John Paul Ruggiero, a young Naval Academy midshipman who passed away at the Academy in 2002.  Donors will receive complimentary refreshments.
