Shine Like Susan 5K raises over $25,000 for colon cancer fund

Organizers of the Shine Like Susan 5K, all seniors from Abington Heights High School, recently presented a check for $25,345 to the family of Susan Burke in support of the Susan Burke Foundation for Colon Cancer Fund at the Scranton Area Community Foundation. The Susan Burke Foundation was established in July 2022 in memory of Susan Burke, a beloved community member and running coach who passed away from colon cancer. The foundation provides financial assistance to individuals with a colon cancer diagnosis who are facing financial hardship.
