Ralph and Mary Borgia

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Borgia, Scranton, are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today. They were married April 13, 1985, in Genetti Manor, Dickson City, by Magistrate Frank Eagan and later married at St. Paul’s Church, Scranton, by Monsignor O’Brien.

They were attended by Barbara Woronko Anzalone, Lisa Petrucci Bruno, Veronica Yuschovitz Seber, sister-in-law of the bride; Christina Borgia Chylak, niece of the bridegroom; Joseph Borgia, nephew of the bridegroom; Bernard Garvey; and Mark and Franklin Seber, brothers of the bride.

Mrs. Borgia is the former Mary Seber, daughter of the late Franklin and Mary (Hawter) Seber. She is the retired artistic director/owner of Mary’s World of Dance, Scranton. She is also a retired part-time teller of Community Bank N.A., Olyphant.

Mr. Borgia is the son of the late Francisco and Raffaela (Nardella) Borgia. He is a retired captain of the City of Scranton Fire Department.

The couple has two daughters, Julie A. Borgia, Peckville; and Lisa M. Harrington, Scranton. They also have five grandchildren, William and wife, Kayla Harrington; Amanda Harrington, Scranton; Zachary, Emily; and Jenna Loomis and fiancé, Noah Voglino, Peckville. They also have two great-grandchildren, William and Harper Harrington.

They will be marking their 40th (ruby) wedding anniversary with a trip to the Finger Lakes and a cruise to the New England States and Canada with Princess Cruise Lines.
