SCRANTON — A home in the city’s Hill Section sustained substantial damage as the result of a Saturday night blaze, Scranton Fire Chief John Judge said.
Crews responded to 1415 Pine St. around 7:15 p.m. for the report of a house on fire, Judge said.
Once on scene, crews discovered heavy smoke coming from the second floor area of the duplex, Judge said. No injuries were reported, but the residents were displaced, he said.
Crews remained on scene for about three hours, Judge said.
“It took a little while to get it under control and then it was overhaul and crews assisting the fire inspectors,” he said.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Judge said.
