A Scranton man was arrested Monday after police say he fired shots outside the Solstice Bar on West Market Street early on March 23.
When police responded to the bar for reports of gunfire at about 2 a.m., they found multiple vehicles damaged by bullets and multiple spent casings, according to a Scranton Police Department news release.
Police say the shooter, Khalid Jamiar Jones, 31, of 1219 Washburn St., fled the scene.
When searching Jones’ residence, authorities say they found an “abundance of evidence,” including two “ghost guns,” which are described by police as handguns with no serial numbers or identifying markings, and ammunition.
He is charged with aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.
Jones was taken into custody without incident by the Scranton Police Department, agents with the Scranton US Marshals Office and Lackawanna County detectives, the release states.
Authorities say additional firearm charges regarding the ghost guns will be filed.
Jones is awaiting preliminary hearing, according to court records.
