Want to learn how to grow your own food and transform urban spaces? Join us for a free hands-on Urban Gardening Workshop! 
Here’s what you’ll get:
Free Gardening Kit: Compost, plant starts (herbs, lettuce, tomatoes, peppers), and food-safe buckets
Intro to Gardening: A quick workshop on transplanting seedlings and gardening basics
Hands-on Learning: Get your hands dirty and grow your own garden!

NEPP violinists Robyn Quinnett and Emily Frederick, joined by violist Edwin Kaplan and cellist Titilayo Ayangade, bring you beloved classics by Haydn and Duke Ellington, and accessible and intriguing new works exploring the African-American historical experience, by Carlos Simon and Rhiannon Giddens. Music by always riveting young American star composer Jessie Montgomery completes the program.

Dunmore approves campground at Silver Lake between I-84/380 and Route 435

Dunmore approved a developer’s plan to create a campground with five cabins near the Interstate 84/380 Twin Bridges and the new flyover exit ramp for Elmhurst, the borough zoning coordinator said. S. Walsh Properties LLC of 2641 Pittston Ave. in Scranton sought from the Dunmore Zoning Board a special exception to establish a campground and construct five cabins at Silver Lake on Drinker Turnpike, according to public notices of the board’s April 24 meeting agenda published in The Times-Tribune on April 15 and 22.
